Closing the gap between humanoid robots and the physical world.

At TACTILIA, we are building the industry-ready robotic hand that closes one of the biggest gaps in Physical AI. Spun out of SCHUNK, the global market leader in gripping technology, we are combining a decade of robotic-hand expertise and real industrial access with the speed and ambition of a deep-tech startup.

This isn't a research project waiting for its first customer. We already have a product, customers are ready to use it, and we are launching now.

TACTILIA hands share SCHUNK's decade-deep gripping-technology backbone - but the hand itself isn't one fixed design. We build both tendon-driven and direct-drive hands, matched to what the application actually needs, from lean industrial grippers to fully dexterous humanoid hands. Fingers are wear parts, rated to a million-cycle standard.

Every hand ships with trained, grip-specific skills through an open API to any robot platform - industrial arms and humanoids alike - plus the SDK to integrate and extend them. It's part of the sale, not an add-on.

The flagship skill today: box and container handling with high variance in size, weight and height - where conventional automation still means a tool change instead of simply re-gripping.
